The PERSONALIZED ARTHROPLASTY SOCIETY annual conference will be held in Bordeaux on 1 and 2 December 2023.
Created three years ago with the aim of clarifying and accelerating the adoption of a more physiological method of implanting hip and knee prostheses, this meeting will bring together most of the international experts in a magnificent venue (Palais de la Bourse) located in the heart of Bordeaux..
The initial idea of this learned society was to focus solely on surgical techniques and implant design. Subsequently, the preoperative and postoperative phases of care were included, and there was a real awareness of their importance in the context of personalised arthroplasty..
Physiological arthroplasty is a new way of looking at arthroplasty. This approach has proved possible thanks to a better environment (materials used and implant design) and a better understanding of joint biomechanics, validated by evidence.
This is probably one of the major advances in the field of arthroplasty, which could have a real and positive impact on patients by making the results of prostheses even more reliable.
